The Pentacle

The Pentacle is a design that is easily identified with the pagan/wicca/witchcraft religions. Although there is a bad association in the mainstream world (and some people do use it that way), this is actually a symbol of peace. Each of it’s points represents a element: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. The idea is that the person who wears this symbol is trying to achieve balance between the elements (or nature) and themselves, and through that process find peace and enlightenment.
I have taken this common symbol and used a visual way to connect it to the elements. Although there are several different places to assign each element, I have decided to place them in the order I draw them: Top, Bottom Right, Upper Left, Upper Right, Bottom Left, and back to the Top.
